Requirements

  • Must be eligible to work in U.S.A
  • 5+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Materials Management, or Engineering (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Lean concepts (Kanban, Kaizen events, Takt time, etc.) (preferred)
  • Data analytics, Excel experience with formulas
  • Knowledge of manufacturing shipping, receiving, and warehouse operations
  • Knowledgeable in the principles and practices of effective customer service
  • Physical requirements: medium to heavy work (10 to 40 pounds of force frequently, 40 to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance; ability to stand/walk 10+ hours per shift)
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize work, and work closely with other departments
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment
  • Effectively communicate with all team members
  • Function as a team member and contribute to group goals while maintaining a positive attitude
  • Maintain the integrity of confidential business and product information

Responsibilities

  • Manage the auditing of bills of lading for merchandise received and inspections of materials for good condition in cooperation with the Quality Control Team
  • Manage Inventory Control to ensure material is added to inventory, secured, and distributed accordingly, ensuring safe stocks and cycle counts are done accurately
  • Direct activities of shipping and receiving employees responsible for all inbound and outbound equipment/components/material, provides leadership and direction to same
  • Perform scheduling and planning activities in ERP
  • Release and close orders as needed
  • Lead the inventory control management processes and direct activities of inventory control employees
  • Lead annual physical inventory
  • Correctly interpret and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure compliance
  • Conduct/lead cycle counting and inventory control processes and audits
  • Accurately document all receivables from multiple sources (FedEx, UPS, USPS, Pine Drivers, Customer Drop Off, and others)
  • Assist the Quality Department with inspections of all equipment/components/material upon arrival
  • Generate receipt of goods reports with three (3) check off/sign off prior to submittal to accounting
  • Promptly communicate all discrepancies (missing items, damages, unexpected returns, etc.) with operations management and scheduling
  • Maintain a clean and efficient work area at all times
  • Review, generate, and implement processes to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Measure work performance; compare results to objectives; take corrective actions
  • Establish, maintain, and promote exceptional customer service
  • Analyze and recommend improvements to procedures and methods regarding inventory accuracy, operational processes, streamlining, and customer service
  • All other duties as assigned
