Requirements

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Two year post high school education from a vocational technical school or college in business administration, accounting, or related field; or minimum of 2 years direct experience in inventory control, materials management, or traffic operations
  • Ability to work on-site 5 days a week at Ditch Witch Campus in Perry, Oklahoma (no remote option)
  • Typical working hours 6:00 AM-3:30 PM, Monday-Friday, with workday lengths up to 10 hours and occasional weekend work
  • Extended use of a computer
  • Regular trips to shop floor from office environment
  • Ability to interact with multi-level employees, management (Production, Engineering, Quality Control, Purchasing, Toro Corporate), and suppliers
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet schedule changes, parts emergencies, outages, and delivery problems
  • Some travel may be required

Responsibilities

  • Develop material requirements using SAP and/or other advanced information
  • Prepare requisition orders specifying quantity and scheduled delivery dates utilizing desired inventory level policies
  • Analyze ordered parts and initiate adjustments to purchase orders in keeping with established order policies
  • Adjust purchase orders affected by engineering drawing and bill of material changes as directed by management
  • Coordinate information and delivery on new production parts for prototype and new product builds
  • Support plant Kanban program with analysis of usage, suitability of potential vendors, and parts for inclusion in the program
  • Coordinate activities required for remedying parts shortages caused by tooling delays, equipment deficiencies, supplier delivery constraints, and/or other related issues
  • Work directly with Quality Control as concerns arise
  • Work with Sourcing, Quality, and Receiving to return rejected or damaged inventory to the supplier
  • Interact with production supervisors and production schedulers on parts availability
  • Maintain delivery plan with plant contact to suppliers and subcontractors
  • Expedite late orders while maintaining optimum inventory levels
  • Ensure all safety rules and programs are followed and maintained within the assigned area of responsibility
