Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules
  • Plan and schedule material/production needs
  • Manage overall planning, material flow, and systems
  • Prepare and update production plans and procurement needs
  • Ensure alignment with production plans and KPIs
  • Optimize inventory and process improvements
  • Deep understanding of a technical discipline and use prior experience and technical expertise to execute policies/strategies
  • Understand key business drivers and how own team's work integrates with others to contribute to the field
  • Exercise judgment to propose alternative solutions outside set parameters, with guidance
  • Solve simple tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training, technical skills, and analytical thinking
  • Use multiple internal resources beyond own team to make decisions
  • Provide informal guidance to new team members
