Responsibilities

Coordinate and expedite the flow of materials (from suppliers and within departments) according to production schedules
Plan and schedule material/production needs
Manage overall planning, material flow, and systems
Prepare and update production plans and procurement needs
Ensure alignment with production plans and KPIs
Optimize inventory and process improvements
Deep understanding of a technical discipline and use prior experience and technical expertise to execute policies/strategies
Understand key business drivers and how own team's work integrates with others to contribute to the field
Exercise judgment to propose alternative solutions outside set parameters, with guidance
Solve simple tasks using prior experience and on-the-job training, technical skills, and analytical thinking
Use multiple internal resources beyond own team to make decisions
Provide informal guidance to new team members
