Requirements

  • High school certificate (minimum); college degree preferred
  • 1-2 years of related experience in order picking, shipping, inventory control, distribution, or receiving
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance (up to 30 lbs. noted in physical requirements)
  • Valid Power Lift Equipment License
  • WHMIS certification
  • IATA certification
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, and Oracle E1 (preferred)
  • Ability to stand/walk for full 8-10 hour shift
  • Operate power lift equipment
  • Work in multiple temperatures: ambient, 2-4°C, -20°C, cold rooms/freezers (-22°F/-6°C), fluctuating hot/cold
  • Adherence to GMP safety standards and LEAN/5S procedures
  • Wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Work with hazardous/toxic materials
  • Strong reasoning in fast-paced, deadline-based environment with high accuracy
  • Good oral/written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, build relationships with suppliers/external departments

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all daily outbound shipment requirements are completed timely
  • Fill out all vital documentation accurately and completely for shipments
  • Support daily management of outbound shipments for timely deliveries
  • Assist in coordinating deliveries of material from outside warehouses
  • Observe all LEAN and 5S initiatives and procedures in the distribution environment
  • Compose receiving paperwork, spreadsheets, and handle e-mail
  • Pick orders in warehouse
  • Stay extra hours if needed to complete daily shipment paperwork, especially at quarter-end
