Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of 0-2 years related experience (logistics with a life science company preferred)
  • Validated ability to consistently and independently follow policies, procedures, instructions, and meet schedules
  • Ability to operate powered industrial trucks at various heights
  • Basic digital literacy to navigate ERP systems, Microsoft Office, and shipping software
  • Good interpersonal skills and customer service skills
  • Ability to recognize deviation from accepted practice
  • High accuracy in performing all functions
  • Strong attendance performance and ability to start work timely daily
  • Ability to receive and complete general instruction on routine work and detailed instruction on new assignments
  • Able to lift 40-50 lbs. without assistance on a continuous basis
  • Ability to walk, stand, reach, push/pull up to 50 lbs., climb ladders routinely; occasionally sit, kneel, crouch, crawl
  • Adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
  • Comfortable working in warehouse environment under various temperatures: room (59–86°F), cold-room (36-46°F), freezer (-4–23°F or -22°F/-6°C)
  • Ability to work with hazardous/toxic materials and at heights
  • Willingness to wear PPE (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs, etc.)
  • Availability for 2nd shift (Monday-Friday 12:30pm-9pm, overtime as needed, 8-10 hour shifts)

Responsibilities

  • Pick, pack, sort, arrange, count, store, and accurately process items for storage and/or shipment per established procedures and customer requirements
  • Sustain high level of quality to ensure accurate product delivery in requested time
  • Receive materials and/or finished goods daily
  • Verify quality, type, amount of materials received, and presence of appropriate documentation (e.g., packing list)
  • Safely operate distribution equipment as required
  • Complete Thermo Fisher Scientific training requirements and operate within ISO standards (e.g., Control of Documents, Quality Policy)
  • Perform highly repetitive work in warehouse environment
  • Handle packaged hazardous materials
  • Occasional local travel between facilities (2-3 miles, informed in advance)
