Requirements

  • Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance (including manual handling and lifting 15kg up to chest height)
  • Some degree of PPE required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
  • Standing for full shift
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility in working hours to meet production requirements (mainly Mon-Fri 6am to 2:30pm)
  • Minimum NCEA Level 2, with good numeracy and literacy
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Great teammate
  • Curiosity about finding a better way
  • Experience in manufacturing or a physically active environment is an advantage (full training provided)

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with a small team in a manufacturing environment
  • Actively operate equipment and processes while following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and current Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Train in multiple protein separation processes
  • Complete day-to-day production activities and Batch Manufacturing Records (BMRs), ensuring accuracy, legibility, and correctness for traceability
  • Communicate production issues to the Production Supervisor or Team Leaders as they arise
  • Carry out related duties or assigned tasks for efficient team and business operation
  • Participate in strong safety and continuous improvement culture
