Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field
Minimum of 2 years of experience in equipment reliability, maintenance engineering, process engineering or a similar role in a manufacturing environment
Able to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Adherence to all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Safety Standards
Compliance with Cleanroom requirements: no hair products, jewelry, makeup, nail polish, perfume, exposed piercings, facial hair etc
Ability to work in Office and some degree of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required (safety glasses, gowning, gloves, lab coat, ear plugs etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards related to equipment maintenance and reliability in a GMP environment
Experience in monitoring and improving OEE metrics to enhance production efficiency
Experience with lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen)
Strong knowledge of reliability engineering principles, maintenance best practices, and root cause analysis techniques
Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) methodologies
Proficiency in data analysis and statistical tools to evaluate equipment performance and identify improvement opportunities
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders
Certification in reliability engineering (e.g., Certified Reliability Leader (CRL)) or maintenance management (e.g., Certified Maintenance and Reliability Professional (CMRP))

Responsibilities

Develop and implement equipment reliability strategies to ensure optimal performance and longevity of manufacturing equipment used in the production of cell culture media
Conduct Reliability Engineering for maintenance (REM) on equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including safety, maintenance, production, quality, and engineering, to identify and resolve equipment-related issues
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance (PM) programs and schedules for all critical equipment
Implement and monitor equipment performance metrics, including Operating Equipment Efficiency (OEE), and analyze data to identify trends and areas for improvement
Lead and participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing equipment reliability, efficiency, and safety
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements, industry standards, and company policies related to equipment maintenance and reliability
Provide technical support and training to maintenance and production personnel on equipment operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Manage spare parts inventory to ensure availability of critical components while optimizing inventory levels
Prepare and present reports on equipment performance, reliability metrics, OEE, and improvement initiatives to management
