Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. (no sponsorship)
  • Ability to travel up to 20% of the time (international and domestic to US, Canada, and Mexico)
  • 2+ years of experience in an Electrical Engineering, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Industrial Engineering role (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience applying Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing methodologies to manufacturing processes and process improvement initiatives (preferred)
  • Knowledge of Box-Build/Engineered to Order type manufacturing processes (preferred)
  • Proficiency in software applications (Primarily Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint, Power BI) (preferred)
  • Skilled at influencing others across multiple business functions (preferred)
  • Ability to read and interpret product drawings and schematics (preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Works with manufacturing partners and Rockwell engineering to resolve manufacturing uncertainty and obtains answers to technical questions
  • Drives Root Cause analysis of various manufacturing defects to successful completion
  • Owns the CMO's manufacturing change reporting system, verifying proper usage by internal and external users and identifying functionality improvements
  • Align the CMO to best practices used by Rockwell's internal manufacturing plants
  • Tracks manufacturing partner quality metrics and prepares quality reports to support Supply Chain Management
  • Leads cross functional discussions regarding quality metrics, reporting to various stakeholders across Rockwell Automation's manufacturing organization and business units
  • Maintains the CMO's footprint in the Quality Management System(s) by modifying existing processes and documenting new ones
  • Enforces supplier compliance with Rockwell Automation standards
  • Participates in audits, including closing out audit findings, creating audit-finding reports, and determining proper corrective and preventive actions
  • Participates in the identification and onboarding of new manufacturing partners
  • Looks beyond the current state to identify dependencies, anticipate obstacles and risks, and proactively puts mitigation and contingency plans in place
