Requirements

  • Currently enrolled as a full-time student at an accredited U.S. college or university
  • Pursuing an undergraduate degree in Engineering
  • Authorized to work for any employer in the US without the need for sponsorship, now or in the future
  • Available for Summer 2026 (up to 40 hours per week; part-time during school year may be available)
  • Able to work on-site at the manufacturing facility in Toledo, OH

Responsibilities

  • Ensure production documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Update Value Stream maps to determine bottlenecks
  • Create process for machine calibration
  • Reduce scrap costs on new COS lines
  • Increase uptime and reduce breakdowns
  • Convert process specification documents to new format
  • Update Operator work instructions and description sheets for new equipment
  • Create process for conducting COS calibration with list of fixtures needed and documentation for use by plant engineers
  • Identify top scrap defects and work with Operations and Quality to identify root causes
  • Work with both Toledo and St Joseph plants to read across solutions
  • Use Maintenance work order system to pinpoint high frequency failures
