Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or related Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of Internship in Manufacturing or Internship in Engineering discipline
  • Ability to work / rotate through all 3 shifts (1st, 2nd & 3rd)
  • Ability to work over-time, weekends, holidays, etc. as needed
  • Experience troubleshooting equipment and solving complex problems

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day production needs by maintaining strong relationships with Production and Maintenance teams
  • Partner with production, engineering, and quality to ensure seamless maintenance support
  • Manage significant downtime events by providing technical guidance and support
  • Perform preventative maintenance and diagnose equipment malfunctions
  • Lead structured problem-solving efforts using data analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation planning to resolve issues impacting quality, throughput, or equipment reliability
  • Own and drive key maintenance KPIs, including uptime, MTTR, PM Compliance, and equipment health metrics
  • Collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization to drive alignment and results
  • Design and optimize work operations to meet safety, quality, and efficiency standards
  • Identify, cross reference and request spare parts to maintain equipment reliability
  • Lead obsolete parts conversions/retrofit planning and activities for down equipment
  • Collaborate with machine and tool builders on new equipment design and implementation
  • Apply Global Manufacturing System (GMS) and Practical Problem Solving (PPS) methodologies to resolve complex issues and prevent recurrence
  • Reduce total cost by improving uptime, cycle time, and quality metrics
  • Act as a coach and teacher of lean manufacturing principles to floor team members
  • Provide technical direction and oversight of vendors on-site
  • Leverage GD&T to ensure equipment meets design requirements
  • Utilize Powertrain Production Monitoring and Control (PTPMC), MAXIMO, and scheduling systems to plan, track, and optimize maintenance activities
  • Implement divisional and corporate policies, safety protocols, and good housekeeping practices
  • Act as the maintenance technical lead for your shift, guiding skilled trades and technicians through planning and execution
  • Prepare and deliver shift-level reports and updates to support strategic decision-making
  • Supervise efficient use of labor, inventory, and machinery when acting in a group leader capacity
