Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience with wet layup, infusion, and prepreg manufacturing processes
  • Experience with surface modeling and tool design using SolidWorks or Catia, including CPD, AICMA packages
  • Familiarity with aerospace quality systems (AS9100/NADCAP)
  • Ability to be active on feet for 8 hours, lift 25lbs, and work in front of a computer for extended periods
  • Deep familiarity with additive and subtractive manufacturing processes
  • Work with a high level of quality and integrity
  • Maintain a neat, orderly, and organized work area

Responsibilities

  • Design tooling for composite infusion, wet-lay, and prepreg processes
  • Fabricate composite parts using infusion, wet-lay, and prepreg processes
  • Design and fabricate shop aids and tooling to assist production
  • Evaluate, improve, and advance existing and new composite manufacturing processes
  • Apply Lean Manufacturing principles to eliminate waste and streamline operations
  • Assist with developing new manufacturing processes and technology
  • Write work instructions, manufacturing drawings, and specifications for the above processes
  • Work with the design team to integrate Design For Manufacturability (DFM) principles
  • Assist with timeline management and keep teams updated on progress
