Requirements

  • Hands-on expert knowledge of Cell Therapy manufacturing processes and each Unit Operation
  • Ability to perform Cell Therapy manufacturing to demonstrate execution, backfill for absent team members, and meet production schedules
  • Technical expertise in CAR-T Manufacturing requirements
  • Leadership skills to lead by example and drive team adherence to BMS values (Inclusion, Accountability, Innovation, Urgency, Passion)
  • Knowledge of Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and Work Instructions (WIs)
  • Ability to perform batch record reviews (BRR) or Electronic Batch Record reviews by exception
  • Understanding of ALCOA+ principles for documentation
  • Capability to conduct regular safety Gemba walks, identify hazards, and demonstrate safe behavior
  • Skills in operating and maintaining equipment to prevent injuries or incidents
  • Resource management abilities, including tracking team availability, providing scheduling information, and hiring personnel that meet job criteria and BMS values within budgetary requirements
  • Availability for Wednesday - Saturday night shift (5 p.m. - 5:30 a.m., with every other Wednesday off), onsite

Responsibilities

  • Lead by example and drive Work Centered Team (WCT) to adhere to BMS values of Inclusion, Accountability, Innovation, Urgency, and Passion
  • Ensure WCT members execute Cell Therapy manufacturing according to cGMPs, SOPs, and WIs
  • Take personal responsibility for safety, ensure WCT members work safely, perform regular safety Gemba walks, know hazards, demonstrate safe behavior, and operate/maintain equipment to prevent injuries/incidents
  • Accountable for Production Records produced by WCT members
  • Perform batch record reviews (BRR) or Electronic Batch Record review by exception
  • Ensure all documentation by WCT members follows ALCOA+ principles, is right first time, complete, accurate, and resolve errors/corrections to meet manufacturing turnaround times
  • Maintain hands-on expert knowledge of each Unit Operation by performing manufacturing, demonstrate good execution to new members, backfill for absences, and meet production schedules
  • Further develop technical expertise in CAR-T Manufacturing requirements
  • Provide Production Scheduling team with daily/weekly/monthly information on WCT resource availability and track actual vs. planned/unplanned absences
  • Hire personnel meeting job description criteria, BMS values, and budgetary/fiscal requirements
  • Set WCT priorities and adjust as needed
  • Foster a culture of safety, compliance, innovation, and Continuous Improvement within Manufacturing Operations
