Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience in Technical Publications OR Master’s degree with 7+ years in Technical Publications
  • 5+ years of experience managing technical writing teams in a regulated documentation environment
  • 3+ years of experience using a component content management system (CCMS) for structured authoring
  • Proficiency in DITA XML standards, shared content architecture, and authoring optimized for translation workflows
  • 3+ years of experience creating, editing, and organizing technical images for publication
  • Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator for technical documentation production
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, formatting, and content integration

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with Product Management for annual and ad-hoc resource planning and prioritization of technical documentation, to support new product launches and on-market product updates/upgrades at global level
  • Plan, schedule, assign documentation requests to the technical publication team; oversee completion timeliness and compliance to regulatory requirements
  • Manage the technical publications budget for document translations
  • Manage vendors relationship to guarantee quality and cost effectiveness of translations
  • Directly prepare and complete technical documentation as needed
  • Drive improvements and innovation within the department and between departments with regards to processes, tools, quality, productivity, turnaround time, cost of technical documentation, leveraging Danaher Business System
  • Oversee talent development of the technical writing team
