Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 9+ years of experience in Technical Publications OR Master’s degree with 7+ years in Technical Publications
5+ years of experience managing technical writing teams in a regulated documentation environment
3+ years of experience using a component content management system (CCMS) for structured authoring
Proficiency in DITA XML standards, shared content architecture, and authoring optimized for translation workflows
3+ years of experience creating, editing, and organizing technical images for publication
Proficiency with Adobe FrameMaker, Adobe InDesign, Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator for technical documentation production
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite for documentation, formatting, and content integration

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Product Management for annual and ad-hoc resource planning and prioritization of technical documentation, to support new product launches and on-market product updates/upgrades at global level
Plan, schedule, assign documentation requests to the technical publication team; oversee completion timeliness and compliance to regulatory requirements
Manage the technical publications budget for document translations
Manage vendors relationship to guarantee quality and cost effectiveness of translations
Directly prepare and complete technical documentation as needed
Drive improvements and innovation within the department and between departments with regards to processes, tools, quality, productivity, turnaround time, cost of technical documentation, leveraging Danaher Business System
Oversee talent development of the technical writing team
