Responsibilities

  • Manage a QA team to support Disney merchandise quality assurance
  • Develop project plan, manage project schedule and allocate team resources to complete regional QA work and collaborate with other regional teams
  • Perform quality data analysis and work with management team to develop and enhance quality management for Disney global suppliers in APAC, provide technical support for global sourcing organization
  • Conduct technical audits and identify QC process issues at factories, help suppliers improve to mitigate quality risk and secure on-time delivery
  • Drive suppliers to perform root cause analysis and corrective action; develop, recommend and monitor correction and preventive actions, review and validate implementation
  • Conduct onsite inspections for finished products to ensure production quality meets Disney standards
  • Manage 3rd party consultants to perform inspections, monitor and leverage their services for product quality control
  • Support leadership to manage deliverables for short and long-term strategies for suppliers, set priorities, objectives, and action plans with measurable accountability
  • Provide quality training to factories for continuous manufacturing process optimization and quality management system improvement
  • Collaborate closely with internal and external partners for quality communication and problem solving, host cross-function meetings, build relationships
  • Engage from early design review through sample development from manufacturability perspective, provide QC inputs and solutions to mitigate mass production risks
  • Participate in QA programs and quality improvement initiatives to reduce rejects/complaints and achieve supplier quality performance targets
  • Report to and consult with Senior Manager, QA to make recommendations and develop plans for quality improvement and corrections
