Requirements

  • Knowledge of quality standards and certifications, including IATF 16949, ISO 9001, VDA requirements, and other automotive quality mandates
  • Expertise in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Process Capability, Control Plans, PPAP, Problem Solving, Process Audit, and Significant Production Run
  • Experience in supplier quality management, including PPAP reviews and incoming part validation
  • Ability to manage Change Management (CM) cases and Deviation Management (DM) activities
  • Proficiency in monitoring quality KPIs and defining action plans
  • Skills in leading Quality gate reviews and contributing to equipment commissioning

Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop Quality team members and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Ensure integration of customer requirements and adherence to standards and certifications; translate Voice of the Customer
  • Interface with customer quality and engineering teams during program development to ensure expectations are understood, documented, and integrated
  • Ensure robust quality planning and process controls through APQP
  • Serve as customer interface for Quality related topics from C-sample until serial production
  • Oversee updates to all customer portals with program-specific quality deliverables and requirements
  • Steer implementation of industrialization Quality basics: PFMEA, SPC, MSA, Process Capability, Control Plans, Supplier and Part Approval, Process Audit, Significant Production Run, PPAP, Problem Solving
  • Support supplier PPAP reviews, incoming part validation, and supplier quality readiness aligned with program timelines
  • Manage and monitor Change Management (CM) cases, assessing quality impact and ensuring timely closure
  • Support DM activities by reviewing deviation changes, tracking validation status, and addressing quality risks early
  • Support and train functions on methods and tools for robustness, capability, and quality targets
  • Deliver Control Plans for product, process, and incoming Quality control
  • Monitor quality KPIs, steer performance, and define action plans to correct gaps
  • Define quality resources and planning to support program activities until serial production
  • Ensure compliance with KPI targets and budget
  • Lead Quality gate reviews in the industrialization phase, with final approval of Product and Process Development gates
  • Contribute to equipment commissioning activities, defining Quality requirements
