  • B.Sc. in computer science or equivalent
  • 10+ years as a front-end developer with at least 2 years of experience in team management
  • Experience and knowledge of React, Typescript, Javascript
  • Experience with large-scale SQL / NoSQL databases
  • Fluent with Relational databases
  • Good problem-solving and analysis abilities
  • Good to have: experience with Docker containers, Kubernetes, and Cloud environments
  • Experience working in agile methodologies and sprint planning

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of software engineers, splitting time 50% on team lead work (review, planning, team management) and 50% as software engineer
  • Build and lead a dedicated team focused on execution and delivery
  • Monitor team's performance and metrics, identify areas for improvement, and implement process changes to improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with other departments and peers to ensure timely resolution of customer issues
  • Manage team schedules and workload distribution for adequate coverage and effective resource utilization
  • Implement micro-services from design to production, including frontend design and implementation
  • Take ownership of development, maintenance, testing strategy, design discussions, and operations of the team with containerized API services
  • Participate in all aspects of agile software development including design, implementation, and deployment
  • Handle end-to-end lifecycle of new product features/components
  • Ensure application performance, uptime, scale, high standards of code quality, and thoughtful application design
  • Work with a small, cross-functional team on products and features to drive growth
  • Learn new tools, languages, workflows, and philosophies to grow
  • Research and suggest new technologies for boosting the product
  • Influence product development by making important technical decisions, system architecture, and development practices
