Responsibilities

  • Manages budgeting, forecasting, month-end close, and long-range planning for the Residential Finance organization
  • Builds and maintains financial reports to support routine financial processes (e.g., forecast, month-end close, long-range plan, budget) and ad hoc requests
  • Compares financial results to planned or forecasted results, explains variances, and identifies potential financial risks and savings opportunities
  • Manages the preparation and review of presentations to leadership on results
  • Investigates and analyzes patterns of spending to drive operational efficiencies and cost savings; provides department leadership actionable advice to resolve variances and discrepancies
  • Leads the preparation and review of budget materials for executive leaders and manages ongoing reporting against budget and plan objectives
  • Evaluates financial risks and opportunities by creating and reviewing operational and financial metrics
  • Leads process improvement initiatives and business metrics development
  • Provides ad hoc financial analysis and project support as requested by senior leaders
  • Develops presentations to inform Residential Finance and business unit leadership
  • Participates in departmental and/or enterprise-wide projects, such as organizational changes and financial systems development, enhancements, and deployment
  • Establishes, implements, and maintains a system of financial and operational controls and procedures
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned
