Requirements
- Knowledge of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power systems
- Ability to evaluate facility needs, equipment needs, systems, and load requirements
- Expertise in developing standard operating procedures, inspections, and preventive maintenance programs
- Experience overseeing sustainability initiatives and Environmental Protection Agency compliance
- Skills in managing complex projects, including prioritizing work, planning assignments, supervising progress, and inspecting completions
- Proficiency in budget development, approval, financial analysis, ROI evaluation, and cost control
- Capability to direct regional field operations, track maintenance, monitor contractor performance, and set goals
- Understanding of federal, state, and local HVAC/R laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Project management skills, including timeline oversight, cost monitoring, change coordination, and reporting
- Supervisory experience, including selecting, training, mentoring associates, conducting evaluations, and fostering team environments
Responsibilities
- Direct heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations
- Oversee execution of sustainability initiatives and resolve issues with vendors, service providers, and contractors
- Manage complex projects by assigning work, supervising progress, inspecting assignments, and approving requisitions and timecards
- Direct regional field operations, approve activities, control costs, and monitor preventive maintenance and contractor performance
- Develop and approve budgets for capital expenses, staff needs, and compensation; evaluate ROI and approve contracts/invoices
- Review budget plans, verify cost estimates, approve purchases, and provide technical assistance for materials and equipment
- Maintain project oversight, ensure timelines, manage costs, coordinate changes, and communicate updates
- Manage department budget by analyzing data trends, validating spending, reviewing invoices, and ensuring compliance
- Ensure compliance with HVAC/R laws and regulations through reviews and inspections
- Drive execution of business plans by identifying needs, communicating priorities, removing barriers, and measuring performance
- Provide supervision and development for associates, including training, mentoring, evaluations, and promoting a belonging mindset
