Requirements
- Engineering 4 Year Degree from an accredited School
- Design Engineering experience with familiarity with the Design Control program at a Nuclear Facility
- Previous leadership/supervisory experience favorable
- Advanced knowledge of Electrical/I&C/Digital design
- Technical understanding of nuclear plant processes, programs, and procedures
- Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards, and regulations; including Licensing knowledge at a Nuclear Power Plant
- Knowledge of Nuclear policies and guidelines for Engineering Organizations including Chapter 15 nuclear safety analysis
- Professional Engineering registration preferred
- Plant Certification or SRO Certification/License is recommended
- Ability to obtain Design Qualifications at the Nuclear Facility
Responsibilities
- Maintains the Plant design and licensing basis including Subject Matter Experts to support Design and licensing including 10CFR 50.59 and 72.48
- Owner of the Equipment Qualification Program, Cable and Raceway Program and the Digital Human Factors Program
- Performs Electrical/I&C/Digital Design Preparation and/or Reviews
- Leads or Supports design engineering changes/projects and Task Teams
- Resolves Condition Reports and addresses Operating Experience
- Facilitates staffing activities
- Directs the activities of the individual contributors within the group
- Prioritizes and approves group activities and work products
- Allocates personnel and budget to complete engineering activities and meet department/site goals
- Provides timely resolution to technical problems to ensure safe, reliable, and cost-effective plant operation
- Provides engineering recommendations and priorities important to plant design and operations
- Controls costs within approved budget limits
- Interfaces with State and Federal regulators to demonstrate continued safe operation of the Nuclear Power Plant facility
