Manager of Audit Support

Position Overview

We are seeking a driven individual to lead a dynamic team focused on supporting external audits, due diligence requests, security questionnaires, and ad-hoc requests from external business partners. This role is crucial for coordinating resources, compiling documentation, and ensuring seamless internal and external communication.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Audit Support Analysts and Sr. Analysts in gathering and responding to auditor inquiries, documentary requests, and findings within required deadlines.
  • Develop a clear understanding of Upgrade’s control environment across products and services, and articulate controls to third parties including auditors, investors, financial institutions, vendors, regulators, and bank partners.
  • Cultivate relationships with third parties, bank partners, and internal teams such as Operations, Compliance, Legal, Product, Investor, People Ops, and Technology.
  • Document and maintain processes to ensure efficiency and consistency.
  • Manage ad hoc initiatives and projects to support the execution of scalable and consistent audits.
  • Maintain a repository of responses and documentation within the audit system of record.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of risk management, compliance, or audit experience.
  • 5+ years of strong people leadership skills.
  • Prior experience in fintech is a plus.
  • Solid project management, critical thinking, and analytical skills.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate complex and sensitive issues to internal and external audiences in a clear and persuasive manner.
  • Ability to take direction and ownership of very detailed processes.
  • High level of proficiency with standard computer applications.
