Requirements

Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role at a recorded music company and a four-year college degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance, or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in reading and interpreting artist contracts and statements, along with advanced Microsoft Excel skills, is essential. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, a good decision-maker, self-motivated, possess excellent communication skills, and have a working knowledge of royalty accounting systems.

Responsibilities

The Artist Royalty Manager will maintain royalty processes for artist, producer, and sound recording participant accountings, ensuring accurate reporting in accordance with contracts and licenses. Responsibilities include analyzing artist contracts, entering royalty terms into the system, ensuring compliance with internal controls, performing expense and recoupment analysis, making system corrections, managing period-end tasks and payout reports, and serving as a point of contact for artist royalty clients. The role also involves managing vendor setups and royalty payments, and coordinating special projects.
