Requirements

  • Events project management accounting experience
  • Solid accounting experience (management accounting)
  • Great communication skills – ability to work with people at all levels
  • Part qualified with a recognised accounting body (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) (Preferred)
  • Experience within events or similar industry (Preferred)
  • Confident and able to run meetings and deliver figures via presentation (Preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Working closely with the Project Managers, Account Directors and Heads of each trading division on all commercials
  • Working on client budgets with PMs/ADs
  • Maximising gross profit and margin
  • Job and client profitability analysis (including overhead time & cost)
  • Ensuring minimised risk on Foreign Exchange
  • Reviewing client Master Service Agreement and contracts and payment schedules
  • Running monthly finance reviews with PMs/ADs & client services to ensure GP and margin levels maintained
  • Use of Maconomy system to report on all of the above
  • Use industry knowledge to advise all stakeholders on best methods for budgeting, reconciliations, pricing, billing, (VAT) etc
  • Project billing
  • Project cashflow reporting
  • Developing Maconomy as a project management and reporting tool and looking for upgrades and enhancements where possible
  • Forecasting/budgeting all project related financials
  • Working closely with management accountant
  • Working closely with the Finance Director on all of the above to ensure best profitability/cashflow/margins etc
