Requirements

  • Valid Driver's License upon hire
  • Ability to work night shift (Monday-Friday, 10:45pm-7:15am; 80 hours/2 weeks; every 5th weekend/holiday)
  • Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties

Responsibilities

  • Perform light carpentry work (e.g., patching drywall, taping, plaster, caulking, floors/walls/ceilings, repairing windows/screens, installing windows/ceiling fans/light switches/plugs/gutters/garage door openers)
  • Install and remove materials (e.g., vinyl, fabric, drywall, ceiling grid/tile, wood, plastic, VCT)
  • Measure, calculate, and convert measurements to minimize material waste
  • Read product instructions, MSDS, and other documents
  • Use small hand tools, yard care tools, and equipment
  • Follow job safety, OSHA, fire safety, and PPE protocols
  • Work overhead, high off the ground (ladders/platforms), or in tight spaces
  • Maintain hospital’s exterior grounds, rental properties, and plant life (e.g., lawn, shrubs, trees)
  • Police campus and rental properties for garbage and safety hazards
  • Perform raking, sweeping, mowing, pruning, and plant transplanting
  • General cleanup, routine house maintenance, minor mechanical repairs, and servicing small equipment as directed
