Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience

  • Must satisfy background check and drug screening requirements
  • Ability to speak, read, and write English at a sufficient level to communicate technical and business information effectively
  • Ability to effectively use business software programs (e.g., Maximo, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, and other required software)
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Physical ability to work with tools/equipment (implied by role demands)

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance expertise to service, repair, and maintain process and utility pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
  • Understand customer (Operations) needs, work effectively with customers, handle questions with tact, and display good customer service
  • Improve equipment uptime, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness through condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and assisting in engineering changes
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment following departmental rules and regulations, with safety as primary focus and abiding by safety procedures
  • Troubleshoot root causes of machine problems (e.g., excessive vibration or temperature, bearing failures, abnormal noises, poor performance)
  • Perform repairs and overhaul equipment (e.g., gear boxes, pumps, blowers, fans, drives), including disassembly, setting tolerances, aligning, resetting timing (e.g., air compressors, vacuum pumps)
  • Set up equipment to design specifications (e.g., timing, leveling, alignment)
  • Operate precision alignment equipment (e.g., Roma-align, lasers)
  • Quickly and accurately diagnose root causes of problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Accurately document actions taken to repair equipment in the CMMS program
  • Assist in areas outside primary responsibility and learn other skills as required
