Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Must have or will be required to obtain a driver’s license
  • Must carry own automobile liability insurance

Responsibilities

  • Perform a variety of general, mechanical, and preventative maintenance duties, as well as inspections, servicing, repair, and equipment overhaul
  • Carry out routine and specific assignments, including recalibration of room thermostats; patient services; repair beds, carts, and other wheeled equipment; assemble, move and install furniture, fixtures, and equipment; repair desks, files, cabinets, chairs, and other furniture and wall coverings; assist other trades personnel as needed in handling materials on major repair or installation projects
  • Maintain daily log of activities
  • Demonstrate ability to complete minor electrical/mechanical equipment repairs
  • Perform and record project management checks of equipment
  • Understand and comprehend boiler operations
  • Work on all types of pumps: water, chlorine, and sewage, etc
  • Follow and keep updated on all applicable city, state, and federal codes for fire and safety
  • Inspect incoming equipment for electrical safety
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
