Responsibilities

  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and electronic malfunctions on facility equipment
  • Diagnose and repair a wide variety of facility equipment to maximize uptime
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance procedures on equipment and report findings to leadership
  • Coordinate and/or perform assigned work with contractors and other maintenance personnel to ensure proper repairs with minimum impact on operations
  • Maintain open communications with supervision and customer department personnel, documenting all activities and departmental procedural requirements
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance, including inspecting drives, motors, and belts; checking fluid levels; replacing filters; cleaning and lubricating shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts following checklists
  • Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools (hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches) to precision measuring instruments and electrical/electronic testing devices
  • Assemble, install, and/or repair wiring, electrical and electronic components, pipe systems, plumbing, machinery, and equipment
  • Assist in diagnosing and testing mechanical problems, using blueprints, repair manuals, and parts catalogs to repair or replace defective equipment
  • Perform other duties as required
