Requirements

  • Previous experience in a maintenance mechanic position (5 years)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic knowledge of PLC's preferred
  • Experience with Electrical, Mechanical, Pneumatic, Welding, Motors
  • Able to lift 70 pounds
  • Basic electrical and strong mechanical experience
  • Great oral and written communication skills
  • Technical training certifications preferred
  • Great sense of urgency
  • Food industry experience preferred
  • Knowledge of USDA & FDA’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s)
  • Familiar with all aspects of Safety like LOTO, Confined Spaces, Fall Protection, etc
  • Attendance background will be considered
  • Must have or be willing to obtain an Arkansas State steam boiler license
  • Willing to work occasional weekends or other shifts if needed

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the physical plant, equipment, building and grounds assuring they are maintained in a clean, neat and safe operating manner and are operating at peak efficiency
  • Assist with troubleshooting and repairing equipment
  • Clean, lubricate and service a wide variety of production equipment
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on various types of production equipment
  • Respond immediately to emergency situations
  • Maintain automated machines and conveyors to reduce down time
  • Trouble shoot hydraulics and pneumatics components such as check valves, control valves, cylinders, pumps, filters etc
  • Work with others in your department and outside vendors
