Requirements

  • Completion and Possession of a red-seal Interprovincial Millwright Ticket
  • 1 to 3 years related experience preferred
  • Able to work flexible shifts
  • Mechanically inclined and have manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers
  • Experience in a Food Processing Facility is an asset
  • Ability to read, write and comprehend English
  • Be success-driven and have a “can do” attitude
  • Be able to work independently, as well as being a strong team player
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Have a good attendance and safety record
  • High degree of flexibility and adaptability to take up additional duties and cross-train

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot equipment problems and perform immediate repairs and preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Overhaul and install new equipment
  • Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
  • Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
  • Generate parts requests to ensure adequate inventory
  • Complete work orders as assigned by the Maintenance Manager and/or Senior Management
  • Perform Equipment change-over’s and production line set up
  • General Housekeeping – maintain tools, shop area and parts storage in good working order
  • Perform other duties as required
