  • High school diploma/GED
  • Minimum 2 Years of Maintenance or Manufacturing Experience
  • Completion of Post Offer Exam, or Completion of Work Simulation if applicable
  • Legally authorized to be employed in the United States (no sponsorship anticipated)
  • Ability to speak, read and write English at a sufficient level to communicate technical and business information effectively
  • Ability to effectively use business software programs, such as GMARS, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite and other required software programs
  • Ability to effectively work in a team environment
  • Physical ability to work with or around equipment, climb ladders and stairs, use PPE, and be exposed to harsh weather conditions
  • Familiarity with set-up and operation of a lathe, mill, surface grinder, and drill press
  • Ability to read and interpret shop prints in a machining context

Responsibilities

  • Provide maintenance expertise to service, repair, and maintain process and utility equipment such as vial washing machines, sterilization tunnels, capping/sealing equipment, filling equipment, conveyor systems, vision inspection machines, laser marking systems, robotics, and other pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment
  • Work effectively with customers, handle customer questions with tact and understanding, and display good customer service
  • Improve equipment uptime, line efficiency, and overall equipment effectiveness through condition monitoring, troubleshooting, and assisting in engineering changes
  • Troubleshoot and repair equipment while following departmental rules and regulations, with safety as a primary focus and abiding by applicable safety procedures and practices
  • Develop a good working knowledge of the production line and how it impacts and interacts with upstream and downstream equipment
  • Assist in the setup and/or changeover of production line equipment
  • Understand the critical features and parameters associated with the processes
  • Quickly and accurately diagnose the root cause of problems and implement proper corrective actions to minimize downtime
  • Accurately document the actions taken to repair equipment
  • Assist in areas outside of primary responsibility and learn other skills as required
