Requirements

  • Applicants must reside in the United States
  • Previous agricultural or production experience preferred
  • Meet all certification requirements for wearing a full face respirator (PFT and RFT), maintained annually by testing
  • Remain clean shaven during all scheduled work hours
  • Willing to shower, change clothing and footwear before entering the biosecure facility
  • No jewelry except medical ID; body piercings covered by appropriate clothing
  • Willing to sign agreement to avoid avian species (chickens, ducks, birds, etc.)
  • Willing to sign and abide by Company Biosecurity and Animal Welfare Guidelines
  • Able to use safe lifting techniques and regularly push or pull 500 lbs. (with or without reasonable accommodation)

Responsibilities

  • Perform all items on the Manufacturer’s recommended preventive maintenance program for Setter and Hatcher PM and calibration (40%)
  • Electrical tasks: Change motors in incubators and hatchers, change wall receptacles, replace ends on cords, change light fixtures, wire single and three-phase motors, read and understand voltmeter and ammeter (20%)
  • Repair and troubleshoot HVAC units and evap coolers with basic knowledge (10%)
  • Troubleshoot and repair motherboards and PLCs on Manufacturer’s control system (10%)
  • Repair/replace equipment associated with offal: macerator, pump, and motor (10%)
  • Chiller knowledge: Monitor and adjust temperature and pressure set points, identify and fix issues if incorrect (5%)
  • Troubleshoot high-speed, dock, and Chase Durris doors (5%)
  • Maintain and repair hatchery infrastructure
  • Other duties may be assigned
