Requirements

  • 3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training
  • Ability to learn troubleshooting skills and use the computerized maintenance management system
  • Ability to pass all required levels of the Maintenance Skills Training Program in the allotted time frame
  • Prior experience in industrial maintenance and electrical, knowledge within hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabrication (preferred for external candidates)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate with proper personnel
  • Willingness to undergo shift or department rotation and abide by all safety regulations
  • For Tyson Team Members: Must be separated from the company for a minimum of 90 calendar days (no rehire for those termed for gross misconduct)
  • Completion of the final task separate from the application process

Responsibilities

  • Training to perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
  • Rebuilding equipment as determined necessary by supervisor
  • Performing facility repairs within area
  • Making machine adjustments during production periods
  • Repairing equipment as necessary in the event of mechanical failure
  • Learning and using the computerized maintenance management system
  • Practicing safety regulations within the company
