Requirements

3 months mechanical experience or enrolled or completed an automotive/mechanical degree or training
Ability to learn troubleshooting skills and use the computerized maintenance management system
Ability to pass all required levels of the Maintenance Skills Training Program in the allotted time frame
Prior experience in industrial maintenance and electrical, knowledge within hydraulics and pneumatics, welding and fabrication (preferred for external candidates)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and communicate with proper personnel
Willingness to undergo shift or department rotation and abide by all safety regulations
For Tyson Team Members: Must be separated from the company for a minimum of 90 calendar days (no rehire for those termed for gross misconduct)
Completion of the final task separate from the application process

Responsibilities

Training to perform preventative maintenance on assigned equipment
Rebuilding equipment as determined necessary by supervisor
Performing facility repairs within area
Making machine adjustments during production periods
Repairing equipment as necessary in the event of mechanical failure
Learning and using the computerized maintenance management system
Practicing safety regulations within the company
