Pass Maintenance Safety Test
Must have special lockout/tagout training
Must have good written and verbal communication skills
Must be able to follow instructions both written and orally
Basic knowledge of math to utilize blueprints and plant layouts
Must have basic hand tools
Standing/Walking majority of shift
Stooping/bending required for some tasks
Climbing ladders/steps to reach some equipment
Lifting to and in excess of 70 pounds
Wear hairnets/beardnets, smocks, gloves, hearing protection, steel toed safety shoes, safety glasses/shields when performing tasks such as grinding or welding

Responsibilities

Preventative maintenance and repairs on the equipment as directed by supervisor
Maintain and repair equipment as directed
Analyze potential problems before downtime results
Prepare and/or read layouts for designing and building projects
Perform basic welding, cutting tasks
Assist outside contractors with special projects
Operate power tools, welders, grinders, etc
Read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets
Develop a thorough knowledge of plant layout, tools, parts, and equipment
Troubleshoot basic electric, including motors, starters, etc
Work as directed by supervisor
