Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent
3+ years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Advanced/Expert skill level in part, turn OD’s, turn ID’s, Grinding and burnishing
Experience operating Manual machines as well as CNC machines
Knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T)
Ability to apply basic concepts of algebra and geometry
Familiarity with Gas turbine repair (HSPT, GE10’s, Fr3, Fr5, Fr6, and F7)
Rotor and component machining experience is a plus

Responsibilities

Supporting safety culture and driving a safe to start mindset
Aligning large rotors, gas components, and parts within tight tolerances
Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts
Programming CNC lathes, VTL’s, and milling machines
Working knowledge of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD & T)
Calculating and setting controls for machining operations
Starting and observing machine operation to detect malfunctions
Selecting, aligning, and securing holding fixtures, cutting tools, and materials
Supporting Rotor shop and Machine shop based on customer needs, including Steam rotors, Gas rotors, Cases, Gas components, Aero components, and Value rack repairs
