The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or equivalent, with a technical diploma (preferably as a Mechanical Technician) being preferred. They should have prior experience in machining operations and/or assemblies of turbomachinery, along with knowledge of the Oil & Gas sector products. Candidates must demonstrate competence in mechanical assemblies with precision, the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications, and skills in using precision measuring instruments. Furthermore, they must possess the ability to work in a team, be proficient in computer skills (Excel, Word, email), and hold a valid EU work permit.
As a Machining Shop Operator, the candidate will be responsible for disassembling, assembling, inspecting, testing, and performing mechanical operations on Baker Hughes’ diverse product components, adhering to applicable technical specifications, product technical drawings, and predefined machining cycles. They will manage CNC machines of various types (lathes, milling machines, grinders, etc.) by executing pre-compiled part programs and following the established machining cycles, while also ensuring a clean and organized work environment and suggesting improvements to their work processes. The role involves participating in weekly safety and quality discussions within the team, and being available to work on shifts, including weekends if necessary.
