Requirements

  • At least 3 months Machine Operator experience within the last 6 months (can be a combination of employers)
  • Ability to effectively communicate in English or English/Bilingual across all levels
  • Mechanical aptitude
  • Ability to become Lock Out/Tag Out certified
  • Computer skills preferred
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull 100 lbs
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends
  • Ability to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Provide Social Security Number on application

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all production equipment is set up and prepared per production schedule, including labels, batter, stuffing, etc
  • Oversee machine operations and make minor equipment adjustments
  • Perform metal detections and other quality and USDA required inspections and paperwork
  • Perform basic maintenance on machines and contact Maintenance Mechanic if necessary
  • Interact with Line Leads to determine equipment set-up and operation
  • Make machine adjustments when production changeovers occur
  • Work on production line and ensure product standards
  • Provide assistance to lower-level team members and train new or recently promoted team members
  • Operate machinery to ensure continuous flow of product through the production process and proper ingredients/supplies are used
  • Monitor and adjust machine settings as needed and notify supervisor if maintenance is required
  • Maintain a safe work environment and adhere to Tyson policies and procedures
