Responsibilities
Operate conventional, special purpose, and CNC machines (lathes, grinders, milling machines, drill presses, assembly stations) to fabricate or assemble metallic and nonmetallic materials
Start and observe machine operation to detect malfunctions
Verify conformance of finished workpiece to specifications
Load and unload CNC machinery or assembly stations
Pack out finished material into dunnage
Load and unload CMM/Measurement systems
Clean and organize work areas (5S standards)
Move materials using pallet jacks, carts, etc
Read and understand job aids/work instructions/standard work procedures and policies
Perform required standard work steps within established cycle time
Visually inspect and assemble small components to quality standards
Use hand-held gauges
Use appropriate hold tags to process defective parts through nonconforming material procedure
Manually load, unload, and/or maneuver materials onto or from pallets, trays, racks, baskets, and shelves
Safely operate all equipment
Perform minor machine preventative care (oiling, cleaning machines/dies/work pieces, adding coolant)
Support other departments as needed
Other duties as assigned
