Requirements

  • Must be flexible to work both afternoon & overnight shifts
  • Must be flexible to work either 8, 10, or 12 hour shifts plus weekends/overtime as needed
  • High School Diploma / GED
  • 1-2 years of experience working in a manufacturing environment operating equipment
  • Ability to use measuring devices, such as micrometers and gauges
  • Mechanical interest and aptitude
  • Ability to wear and work in personal protective equipment
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 45 lbs. and maneuver large, cumbersome equipment
  • Ability to do data entry and operate a computer
  • Ability to stand, walk, and sit; talk or hear; use hands to finger, handle, grip or feel objects or controls; reach with hands and arms
  • Ability to stoop, kneel, bend, and crouch
  • Ability to push/pull up to 130 pounds of force
  • Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, depth perception, color vision, and ability to adjust focus
  • Ability to work in hot temperature conditions
  • Ability to operate manufacturing equipment such as forklifts on occasion
  • Export compliance eligibility (U.S. citizen, U.S. National, lawful permanent resident, asylee/refugee, or approved for export license)

Responsibilities

  • Operate various machines in the production areas while adhering to safety requirements, quality parameters, and in-process checks
  • Follow detailed parts instructions and ensure that processing requirements are completed
  • Record process data as required by standard operating procedures
  • Troubleshoot minor problems with the equipment
  • Inspect parts both visually and dimensionally, using proper measuring equipment
  • Interpret visual specifications to recognize and classify defective material
  • Perform testing and inspection of materials and/or parts throughout the processing sequence
