Candidates must possess at least two years of engineering management experience, leading Machine Learning or related technical teams, and a minimum of six years of experience with large-scale Machine Learning, ideally in information retrieval, recommendation systems, or advertising. They should also have at least four years of hands-on experience with Machine Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch, along with proven experience deploying ML models to production and measuring their performance using both technical and business metrics. Familiarity with advertising ecosystems and marketplace dynamics is considered a significant advantage.
The Machine Learning Manager will set a technical vision and strategy for ads retrieval, overseeing the end-to-end ML model development process, mentoring and growing a team of ML talent, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and continuously improving model quality, system reliability, and operational excellence. They will also guide the team in balancing innovation, efficiency, and business impact while ensuring the retrieval systems are robust and scalable.
