The ideal candidate should possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Math, or a related field, along with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience in ML engineering or applied NLP, preferably in a high-stakes, low-latency environment. Proficiency in Python and modern ML tooling such as PyTorch, spaCy, Hugging Face, and LangChain is required, alongside solid backend engineering experience with frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, and REST APIs. Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD, Docker, and version control is also necessary, as is familiarity with managing on-prem infrastructure, including job orchestration, storage, and process scheduling.
This Machine Learning Engineer will design and maintain on-prem NLP and ML tools, including a next-gen communications integration system for triaging, prioritizing, summarizing, and routing the Founder’s communications. They will build intelligent agents to suggest email replies, escalate urgent messages, and integrate with Slack and tasking systems, serving as a technical liaison between the ML team, IT, and software development teams. The role involves building and managing web portals, dashboards, API interfaces, servers, and databases to expose ML outputs, and documenting workflows while integrating tools into existing operational systems with clear interfaces and security controls. Furthermore, the engineer will own and operate CI/CD pipelines and containerized environments for ML systems, enforcing engineering best practices, and monitoring and maintaining ML infrastructure to ensure smooth operation of servers and proactively resolve system issues.
