Requirements

Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s or Ph.D., in engineering, math, computer science, or a related field. They must have expertise in Python, including NumPy, pandas, and other relevant packages, along with familiarity with PyTorch or TensorFlow. Applicants should demonstrate a deep understanding of machine learning fundamentals, such as gradient descent and cross-validation, and ideally have knowledge of classical machine learning techniques and computer vision algorithms. Furthermore, they must be eligible for a US security clearance and be a US citizen, and be located in Durham, NC.

Responsibilities

The Machine Learning Engineer will help CoVar develop software and machine learning algorithms to solve real-world customer problems, working with data, developing algorithms, evaluating results, and writing production code. They will have the opportunity to present their work to high-level customers, potentially in the DoD and industry, and may have opportunities to publish novel work in both classified and unclassified settings.
