Requirements

Cover letter (2-3 lines)
Meet at least one of: ICPC World Finalist, or IOI/IMO/IPhO medalist in High School; published a research paper; completed coding projects (ideally with GitHub repository); interned at leading ML research center (e.g., Google Brain/Deepmind, Apple, Meta, Anthropic, Nvidia, MILA); warm recommendation from university faculty
Some experience in deep learning research, with track record in Language Models and/or RL (Vision or Robotics ML background welcome)
Interested in improving foundational architectures and creating new benchmarks
Experienced at hands-on experiments and model training (PyTorch, JAX, or TensorFlow)
Good understanding of GPU architecture, memory design, and communication
Good understanding of graph algorithms
Some familiarity with model monitoring, git, build systems, and CI/CD
Respectful of others
Fluent in English

Responsibilities

Support training of LLMs
Benchmark LLMs
Prepare and evaluate training datasets
Support the core Pathway Research Team
