Requirements

Working knowledge of Logistics Design: Ability to develop material flow design and process flows to track lead time by activity; uses tools (with guidance) for storage rack solutions and kitting process designs; develops overall factory layout for material flow; develops standard work processes in Logistics and Safe Job procedures in MHE Handling; experience implementing automated software solutions with AGV/AMR applications
Working knowledge of Logistics Management: Assists in developing process flows to track lead time by activity; uses tools (with guidance) to forecast delivery times, determine costs, and assess performance; maintains records of shipments and invoices; participates in integrating logistics processes and developing networks; works with logistics in a domestic environment
Working knowledge of Materials Handling and Management: Assists in responding to emergency issues related to materials handling; works with packaging and storage of inbound/outbound materials; performs packing, shipping, identifying, and transporting of materials; explains key environmental issues for handling hazardous goods; follows procedures for hazardous materials, substances, and pollutants
Working knowledge of Warehouse Management: Knowledge of policies, processes, and systems for effectively managing warehouses or distribution centers

Responsibilities

Develop E2E Logistics Planning Solutions from Supplier to PoU while working with cross-functional members to meet Product Requirements and New Model program metrics (Safety, Quality, Velocity, Cost, Sustainability)
Coordinate meetings and partner with cross-functional teams for development of Logistics Layouts and work for approvals between design and end user
Solidify agreement with Supply Chain, Logistics operations, and Manufacturing functions on material flow design to point of usage through standard processes
Govern and meet new model launch metrics, scorecards, etc
Lead design approval meetings and conduct validation on material storage and flow solutions to get sign-off from stakeholders
Apply process improvement tools and assist with implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions
Coordinate with operations functions to define critical parameters and develop plans for process control and improvements
Maintain internal logistics process engineering standards, knowledge, and tools; assure their implementation in current and new operations
Evaluate logistics processes and workflows, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions for process-related concerns
Independently identify cost reduction and sustainability opportunities
