The role involves securing and removing a ship’s dock lines at port, catching and throwing heaving lines, pulling mooring lines to/from bollards, performing dock inspections prior to vessel arrival, and other related duties. Employees must perform heavy manual labor for extended periods in all weather conditions.

Candidates should be able to perform physically demanding manual labor in all weather, follow detailed instructions under close supervision, apply basic judgement for routine issues, and troubleshoot basic problems.
