Requirements

Candidates must hold a current, unrestricted license in Tennessee and/or Texas, with a willingness to obtain additional licensure. A minimum of two years of medically-relevant experience is required. The role necessitates certification as both a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

Responsibilities

The Licensed Psychiatric & Family Nurse Practitioner will deliver patient care services remotely, conducting accurate assessments, diagnoses, and treatments for patients aged 18 months and above. Responsibilities include managing health problems, providing health counseling, psychiatric diagnosis and prescribing, mental health counseling, and disposition planning. The NP will also educate patients on pregnancy prevention, STI prevention, and safer sex practices, serve as a clinical expert, participate in quality initiatives, and contribute to process improvement for acute care and behavioral health services. Additionally, they will provide oversight of behavioral health care, including quality and training for new providers, and coordinate patient care with internal and external colleagues.
