Requirements

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, Computing or Applied Science discipline (minimum 2:2)
  • Right to work in the UK (unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of employment visa)
  • Able to achieve required medical and national security clearance
  • Further restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply

Responsibilities

  • Apply custom set of modelling tools (primarily MATLAB-based fast running evaluation models, plus occasional CAD and finite element hydrocodes) to evaluate and investigate lethal performance of developing and future missile systems against a range of targets
  • Work on your own or in a small team, with limited supervision, on short tasks (typically a few weeks to a few months in duration)
  • Collaborate on projects with other MBDA departments around Europe
  • Develop and apply understanding of fuzing techniques, warhead technologies, lethal effects, and lethality assessment modelling methods to various missile systems
