Requirements

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school and maintain active bar membership in good standing. A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a practicing attorney is required, with at least 2 years focused on in-house or corporate client advising. Proficiency in Danish or Norwegian labor law, contract law, and regulatory compliance is essential, alongside excellent drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills. The ability to balance legal risks with business objectives in a fast-paced environment, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and high ethical standards with sound judgment are also necessary. Experience in a global or multi-jurisdictional environment is considered a plus.

Responsibilities

The Legal Counsel will provide comprehensive legal support to the organization, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations while actively mitigating risk. Key duties include drafting and reviewing commercial and employment agreements, offering timely and relevant advice on legal topics such as labor laws and commercial matters, and assisting with the negotiation of client and vendor agreements. This role will also support internal compliance efforts and manage various legal issues and projects as they arise.
