This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 3 days a week in the office at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON M5C 2V6. It is available only to members of the Ontario Bar Association currently residing and eligible to work in Ontario, Canada.
Candidates must be a member in good standing of the Law Society of Ontario with an LL.B or J.D. degree, and have a minimum of 3 years of experience advising on commercial contracts in a technology practice or in-house at a technology/SaaS company, working closely with product and sales teams. Experience managing files independently, including drafting and reviewing commercial contracts and SaaS agreements, is required.
This is a unique opportunity to join a small, scaling in-house legal team supporting a global company, reporting directly to the General Counsel.
Caseware fosters a collaborative environment where the Legal Counsel will work as a team player, build relationships with the Commercial Sales Team, and provide support across business areas like Finance, People Ops, Information Security, and Compliance.
A strong candidate is energetic, organized, and proactive with 3+ years drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial agreements like SaaS and licensing deals in a tech/SaaS environment, plus experience collaborating with sales and other teams. Additional expertise in privacy, IT, IP, employment, or corporate matters is an asset.
