Requirements

At least 4 years of experience in the banking & finance, capital markets, or structured finance practice of a top-tier law firm
Proven track record as a key lawyer on multiple closed debt financing transactions, particularly cross-border deals involving asset-backed securities, warehouse facilities, or securitizations
Demonstrated success in leading negotiations and managing transaction closings (closing checklists and signing process) for complex financial agreements in both English and Spanish
Ideally has direct experience advising banks or other regulated financial entities on financing transactions or regulatory capital
Ideally understands the specific legal and compliance constraints of operating as a regulated entity
Demonstrates deep knowledge of cross-border financial and structured transactions

Responsibilities

Close a growing pipeline of new or renewed debt facilities independently managing negotiations with local and international lenders to secure the capital needed for our loan book growth targets
Reduce the average closing time for standard debt facilities by developing and implementing standardized legal templates, negotiation playbooks, and improving internal stakeholder alignment processes
Support the structuring and closing of at least one new, diversified funding structure (e.g., securitization, private placement), expanding our funding sources beyond traditional warehouse facilities
Become a key legal point of contact and a trusted advisor for the Capital Markets team, demonstrating deep subject matter expertise and proactive problem-solving in all funding transactions, while maintaining a direct communication channel with the Senior Legal Capital Markets Manager
