Requirements

Candidates should possess 5+ years of experience designing for native mobile apps and 8+ years of experience contributing on design teams, along with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in a related field. They should have a strong creative vision, the ability to switch between blue-sky ideation and tactical thinking, and experience mentoring other designers. Familiarity with Free Knowledge and/or Open Source communities, as well as experience designing for and testing with diverse audiences, is also desired.

Responsibilities

The Lead UX Designer will reduce complexity to create simple, delightful experiences for users, create prototypes and run experiments to iteratively test hypotheses, utilize and evolve the design system and guidelines, apply accessibility standards and Human Interface Guidelines, collaborate with designers, product managers, and engineers, distill complex concepts into understandable talking points, and support the growth of colleagues by mentoring others within the team. They will also work actively with other leaders on product and design to improve processes and support the growth of colleagues by mentoring others within the team.
