Requirements

  • 3+ years related experience at multi-national company
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workload
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong business acumen with outstanding analytical skills

  • Solid knowledge of inventory management
  • Advanced skills with Excel and Power Point (Working experience with Power BI is a plus)
  • Proficiency in ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP) and planning tools
  • Database knowledge (SQL, Tableau, etc.) is preferred
  • Business level both English and Japanese (spoken, written and reading)

Responsibilities

  • Manage inventory levels at distribution centers to align with operational KPIs, financial targets and stocking strategy to support business goals
  • Establish recommended cycle/safety stock and customer service levels for product supply with Demand Planners to ensure maximum financial return on inventory
  • Prevent potential inventory excess and shortage as well as back orders with cross functional partners to contribute to operating income
  • Build PSI (Purchase, Sales, and Inventory) plan to provide insights and recommendations
  • Place and manage purchase orders and master data to allow high quality and reliable data available for planning and business/operational decision making
  • Monitor inventory level vs business targets and follow up corrective and mitigation actions with Demand Planners to ensure target achievements as well as service level
  • Ensure supply process is in line with global standards and work with global/local suppliers for improvement
  • Challenge the existing processes and strive for continuous improvements
  • Perform ad-hoc tasks according to business needs and projects assigned by Supply & Inventory Planning manager
